Mississippi State Home Inspector Regulations

Legislation: House Bill 848
Governing Body: Mississippi Real Estate Commission
Insurance: A Licensed Mississippi Home inspector must hold no less than $250,000.00 for general liability and no less than $250,000.00 for errors and omissions insurance.

Qualifications to Become a Licensed Home Inspector

Education

• High school or equivalent
• Successfully completed an approved course of study of at least 60 hours

Testing

• Have passed an examination as prescribed by the commission (National Exam)
