An Exam Prep for Real Estate Broker Candidates Based upon the Required DRE Exam
This exam prep is provided to those students who are preparing to take the state-mandated exam to become Real Estate Brokers in Nevada. It is not an official or otherwise sanctioned testing mechanism, and is meant merely to provide a determination of your preparedness for taking the Proctored Exam given by the DRE in Nevada. In order for this testing module to be truly effective you should have completed broker educational coursework of Nevada.
Like the official exam that you will take to gain your license, this test is comprised of questions dealing with issues applicable nationwide, and with state-specific issues. To help you retain the information presented here, these subject areas are presented separately and all questions have feedback to explain the correct answer.

State Requirements
Nevada Real Estate Education Requirements
Salesperson
Applicants for a real estate salesperson license must show, pursuant to NAC 645.435 , proof of completion of the required 90 hours or 6 semester units of instruction in real estate principles, practices and law from a Nevada Real Estate Commission accredited provider . The course must include a minimum of 18 hours of Nevada law, consisting of NRS 645 , 119 , 119A , 119B and their respective administrative codes. Certified transcripts must be submitted with the license application. Copies of certified transcripts are accepted.
Applicants must show proof of passing the national and Nevada state exam within one year of the application date. Applicants may use their national examination results from another state (if dated within one year of the date of application for a Nevada real estate license) but must show proof of those results.
Post License Education
Licensees who applied for the Nevada Real Estate license after January 1, 2006 must take the Nevada Post-Licensing course. This course consists of 15 state pre-determined modules.
Nevada Real Estate Continuing Education Requirements
Original Real estate licenses are valid for a one year period ending the last day of the month during which you obtained your license. Each renewal thereafter is for a 2 year period. There is no grace period for renewal.
Renewal notices are sent as a courtesy approximately six weeks prior to expiration. Renewal education requirements are the same for a sales, broker-sales, and broker licenses.

30 Hours Post Licensing

$220.00 for broker and broker-sales licenses

SECOND and SUBSEQUENT RENEWAL:
24 Hours Continuing Education as follows:
3 hours – Agency Relationships
3 hours – Nevada Law – recent legislation and regulation
3 hours – Contracts
3 hours – Ethics
The remaining 12 hours may be general courses (G) or additional designated courses (3 hours personal development (PD) maximum).
