Qualifications for Becoming Compliant with the State Legislation
Experience
- A Pennsylvania state home inspector must be a full member of a nationally recognized not-for-profit organization that requires at least 100 or more home inspections to become a full member and pass an exam.
City of Philadelphia ONLY
The city of Philadelphia requires licensure of Home Inspectors
- Worker's Compensation and Employer's Liability Insurance of
$100,000 each accident
$100,000 each employee
$500,000 each limit
- Commercial General Liability (City of Philadelphia must be listed as a certificate holder)
$100,000 minimum limit (deductible of no more then $2,500)
- Proof of membership in a nationally recognized not-for-profit organization that requires at least 100 or more home inspections and passing of an examination to become a member.
