Information:

South Dakota Appraisers are required to complete 28 continuing education hours every 24 months. Seven of the 28 hours must be completion of the 7-Hour National USPAP Update or Equivalent course. A minimum of seven of the 28 hours of instruction must be completed prior to June 30 of each even-numbered year in the most current edition 7-hour National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) Update Course or Equivalent whose instructor is certified by the Appraiser Qualifications Board . [For the 2011 renewal cycle the applicant must have completed the 2010-2011 7-hour National USPAP Update course between January 1, 2010 and June 30, 2010.] Each course listed above is certified by IDECC and approved by the AQB.
